Weimaraner
Overview
The Weimaraner is a type of hound of German origin. The breed has excellent hunting qualities. They have two types of coat: the short-haired type is characterized by a thick, smooth, well-fitting covering hair, and the long-haired type is characterized by a soft, long covering hair. The undercoat of this breed may or may not be present, may be thicker or, on the contrary, more sparse. Even if they have no undercoat, it is advisable to brush them regularly to prevent matting in the longer layers and reduce shedding. Coat color - four options are allowed - silver, light gray, blue and dark mouse. On the ears, tail and inner surface of the paws, lightening is possible, but never in the form of spots.

The Weimaraner breed is energetic, friendly and cheerful. They get along well with children and make an excellent family member. With children, especially older children, these dogs establish a friendly, partner relationship. These dogs are very loyal and need constant human contact. Weimaraner - an extremely intelligent, attentive and understandable dog, training is perfect and easy. Weimaraners are also very suspicious of strangers and are ideal guard dogs.

Weimaraners have an average life span of 10 to 13 years, but with proper care and maintenance your dog can live much, much longer. They are a healthy breed, but they do have a genetic predisposition to certain diseases that may pose a potential risk. Their gastrointestinal tract is at risk, and illnesses such as intestinal blockages, common to deep-chested dogs, can be fatal to them. Therefore, it is very important to monitor the health of your dog.
