Barbet
Overview
The Barbet-Dog is medium-sized-French gun-dog breed. It is thought that these Barbet dog meant the first real water dog-breed. These origin of the breed isn't entirely known, though it is apparently crossed among herding stock & some griffon-hounds. These dogs aren't well known out of France. The breed is so capable on retrieving, & is used to waterfowl hunting & also as loyal companions.
Temperament
The breed is very intelligent & keen at learning. The dogs prefer to work, & is too eager to satisfy their owners. One will get this breed on be very relaxed, flexible, passive but at these same moment lively. Any of the dogs may hence be so shy. Seeing what this means an employed dog, they like water & to be included in retrieving duties. They would also do so well being a family-pet.
This breed would not do great when restricted to any kennel, as both will probably wither away in though an environment. It's advised what these dogs stand taken to walks at a regular-basis so that both can get these chance to practice and appreciate themselves.
Watch
The soft coat of these Barbet-dog has very great grooming needs. One will find what the coats from these dogs grow matted fairly simple, particularly while the dogs works into these water so often. In line for these coat to develop properly, these puppy shall be shaved completely when both are between 4 to 6 months-old. If these coat is cut at regular-intervals, the coat would also grow deeper. The Barbet-dog should own a thick woolly-coat if it's going to-be used for entertainment purposes.

To mind for the breed you would need to wipe its coat-semi-daily. This would help to hold their hair-free of tangles & matting, & it would help to share their natural-oils which would protect the skin & hair of drying out. Both do not require more of exercise, yet, a moderate walk after supper is always welcomed. The breed owns a few of health difficulties including hip-dysplasia & progressive retinal-atrophy.
Training
These Barbet remains a dog which will learn so quickly. Both are also so sensitive to these voice of the handlers as these dogs enjoy to satisfy them. It's also important to be constant in these training of the dogs, as these dogs won't take a handler-seriously that's no authority.
Health-problems
The Barbet-dog are prone on suffering of health conditions so as hip-dysplasia, cataracts & skin allergies that have been viewed in any of these bloodlines.
