Overview
The Sloughi, also known as the Arabian Greyhound, is a rare breed of sighthound that originated in North Africa, specifically in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. The Sloughi was traditionally used by the nomadic Berber tribes for hunting game, such as hare, fox, and gazelle. They are highly valued for their speed, agility, and endurance.
Temperament
Sloughis are typically reserved and dignified with strangers, but they are loyal and affectionate with their families. They have a strong prey drive and can be independent thinkers, so early socialization and obedience training is important. They are generally good with children and other pets if they are raised with them from a young age.
