Boykin Spaniel

If permitted these tail remains docked. Both have a waterproof-coat that is slightly wavy or either can remain curly, though is a soft coat. The colours remain liver & brown. These history of these Boykin Spaniel-dog starts among a stray nature found on a man called-Alexander, who realized what an excellent hunting companion the dog occurred. Alexander presented his puppy to Whitaker-Boykin. The dog is male, and these Boykin Spaniel-breed has arrived from the one puppy.
He was-crossbred with these American water-Spaniel, Pointers, Springer-spaniels, & Chesapeake Bay-Retrievers. That is a famous dog in these southern United-States, particularly with bird hunters. Everything the breeders continue hoping to leave this dog on the sporting-group sometime in these future.
Temperament
These Boykin Spaniel remains a laboring dog & needs more of daily application, including long-walks. The breed owns a high-drive are so willing & need to continue working. They've an active thought that requires to be applied as well. Minus daily long-walks, this breed would find more ways to satisfy themselves, this isn't recommended. When this remains a docile & pleasant dog, it's to be retained, that is a working-dog which loves on operating.
This puppy is an excellent-swimmer, but caution must be-taken as they remain prone to-Spaniel, ear-infections. They've excellent field capability, with a fine-nose and great-enthusiasm. The dog requires an owner which can interact well with these dog, that bestows good & natural leadership, & someone that likes to operate a lot.
Health-issues
The Boykin-Spaniel breed could have eye-problems, hip-dyspraxia, and on some lines both can own heart and skin-problems. A careful-checking & looking after these ears, is significant with the breed.
Grooming
These Boykin Spaniel remains a simple breed on grooming, and only needs brushing each few days. When this dog could swim it's odd to state bathing isn't a good'idea but if washed so much this only strips out these dogs natural-oils, which could lead to skin-problems & a lank-coat. Weekly inspections of the ears are significant as well.
Living-conditions
The Boykin-Spaniel dog is alright in an-apartment; providing one exercise daily, long-walks are a necessity for the breed. The dog is the working dog, & is happy doing a working-dog, so conservative thought ought to go inside choosing the dog as a household-pet.
